- Arm, elbow, or shoulder sensitivity — or juniors who need comfort.
- You want easy depth and a plush feel.
- You accept restringing more often (multis notch faster than poly under cutters).
Gauge guidance (multi)
- 16: more durability, slightly firmer pocket.
- 17: common comfort/feel default (e.g. NXT 17).
- Thinner: more snap, usually shorter life.
Typical tension ranges (educational)
